Have you noticed any of the following
health issues with your dog?
Is your dog stiff or lame, or finding it difficult to get in and out of the car or climb the stairs? Are they reluctant to go, or slow down whilst out on a walk?
Has your dog started to knock poles, miss contacts, misjudge distances or find their usual work more difficult or taking longer to recover?

Does your dog have neurological problems or developmental issues?

If you are concerned that your dog may be too worried to receive physiotherapy? No problem!
Rachel has worked with worried dogs for over 20 years and combines her knowledge of canine behaviour, canine signals and Tellington TTouch Training skills to put your dog at their ease.
Do you think that physiotherapy is only for dogs and horses?
Not so, cats, rabbits and other companion animals also benefit massively from physiotherapy.
Dogs that have been diagnosed with a condition or injury that may require surgery, or your vet may recommend conservative management without surgical intervention can benefit from physiotherapy.
Physiotherapy can help in such cases, including:
Hip dysplasia
Luxating patella
Cruciate ligament disease
Femoral head and neck incision
Amputation
Bone fractures
Rehabilitation that includes physiotherapy reduces pain and inflammation, enhances healing and reduces compensatory issues to return your dog to top form. Physiotherapy compliments the highly specialised operation undertaken by your vet, and by working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, Rachel can provide high quality aftercare for the benefit of your lovely dog.

For the older dog in your life who may need a little more assistance in maintaining healthy movement and well-being.
As our pets age, they become less mobile and slow down, their joints and tissues start to lose their suppleness. Physiotherapy can enhance quality of life and mobility for this special group of dogs and give them a spring in their step again.
Osteoarthritis is often seen as the major problem for older dogs, and indeed it is. However, our lovely oldies can also suffer from other conditions, such as:
Strokes
Reduced ligament and tendon health
Hip and elbow dysplasia can start to cause further problems
Reduced mobility and muscle wastage
Degenerative neurological problems eg. canine degenerative myelopathy (DM)
Veterinary physiotherapy treatment for these and other age-related conditions, can alleviate pain and restore normal function to keep our golden oldies in the best possible health.

You may wish to improve your dog’s fitness, endurance, strength, body awareness (proprioception), speed and avoid injury Rachel can provide you with a structured individualised and carefully designed programme for exercise and conditioning.
