Tellington TTouch Training® is a complete system of training, handling, rehabilitating and understanding animals using positive methods and in a holistic manner. It offers you a unique method of education for your animals incorporating, not just the brain, but the whole body. Tellington TTouch can help animals find their own balance as well as enhance co-operation between your companion, athlete or working animal and yourself.
TTouch enables your animal to learn self-control and build confidence, this enables them to move beyond their instinctive, and often fearful, responses to the world around them. Fear and pain, or memories of these, inhibit learning. Helping them to deal with these enables the animal to become more trusting, relaxed and confident.
Observations of your animal are key to an accurate and effective assessment. By observing your animal’s physical and emotional state, Rachel will select specific TTouch methods most appropriate for your wonderful animal to address unwanted behaviour and enhance their well-being.
Tellington TTouch Training is perfect for dogs who are nervous, or scared of whizzes and bangs on Bonfire Night, worried by other dogs, nail trimming, travel sickness or difficulty learning new things. Dogs who struggle with everyday life hold tension in their body, TTouch improves their physical balance, which has an effect on their behaviour and mental well being.

Cats are one of the most sensitive animals we live with. Those who live with cats realise that they have great potential for developing relationships with their guardians. Tellington TTouch techniques work well to enhance a cat’s well-being, indeed, many cat rescues incorporate TTouch methods to help the cats in their care become more adoptable. Using more mindful handling methods, most cats begin to appreciate affection and contact from their guardians.
If your cat suffers from any of these common problems, contact Rachel to find out how Tellington TTouch can help you both:
Changes in situations
Anxiety
Handling difficulties

TTouch for horses offers a complete training approach which encourages well-being and optimal performance. Many behavioural issues in horses can be caused by pain, soreness, fear or tension. Once these have been addressed the behaviours disappear and greater understanding is reached between owner and horse.
For the horse that exhibits any of the following behaviours, Rachel can help you:
Spooking
Bucking
Difficulty in tacking up
Poor performance
Difficulty standing for the farrier
Bolting
Struggle on one rein
TTouch is not a replacement for appropriate veterinary attention and should never be used as such. If you suspect that the horse or pony in your care has a physical problem please consult your vet. TTouch is very much complementary to veterinary care for the health and benefit of your animals.
